Marissa Lynn Hernandez is a singer/songwriter in the Pop genre from Houston, Texas.
Since age 9 Marissa has been working toward the dream of making it in the main stream music industry.
Once graduated from her hometown of Houston, she continued her education leaving Texas to attend Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA. Here she studied Fashion Merchandising and Business, and obtained her degree with the ultimate goal always in mind-
Recording artist.
Independently in 2015 she released her first three original singles with the help of her producer David Needham. The first released, “You Had Changed For Me”, is an upbeat throwback track with a feel good vibe, introducing to the world how you can take a positive spin on a heartbreak song.
She draws influences and sounds from the early 50’s, 60’s & 70’s mixed with some of her favorite inspiring artists like Connie Francis, Patsy Cline, Elvis, The Supremes, Donna Summer, Selena, Britney Spears, Adele, Sam Smith, Mariah Carey, Bruno Mars, Jesse McCartney, Olly Murs, and Jess Glynne to name a few.
She hopes to instill that feel of the oldies while listening to her music.
She says, “Truly I just wanna take you back to those classic vibes, sounds and beats that take you to a familiar place of pure bliss. Those moments when a song takes you to a memory.”
“Marissa is a diary writer.”
“She wears her heart on her sleeve and truly writes from personal experience, because for her, if there is no real connection to the lyrics, then they are just words.”
With a firm foundation in faith and a clear vision of her future in the music industry Marissa moved in 2019 to Los Angeles. While working every job under the sun, she became more connected with producers and writers while truly throwing herself into as many sessions as possible just to get her foot in the door.
Blood, sweat and tears later Marissa has a catalogue of unreleased radio ready hits lined up for the goal of being picked up by a major label.

She wants to create songs that help people feel like they’re not the only one going through __________.
Help people know their worth, put a smile on their face, and give them a song for what they feel is inexpressible.

Marissa believes that if she can touch at least one heart or help one person through her music- then she has done her job.

She wants to be the kind of positive role model she didn’t have growing up as a little girl in the music industry.

Using her platform to truly make a difference, and show the world that having a beautiful soul is worth far more than the eye can see.
